- Always use both hands when putting your glasses on and taking
them off
|
| |
- Make sure that you have a proper eyeglass
case in which to store your eyeglasses when they are not in use.
At Okanagan Optical, we provide a complimentary case with every
eyeglass purchase. Also, make sure that your case is kept clean
and free of abrasive particles.

| |
- Rinse the lenses under the tap prior
to cleaning. This removes debris that may cause scratches
if rubbed into the lens. Use mild soap or lens cleaner to remove
oil and grease and wipe with a clean, soft cloth.
|
| |
- Do not use paper tissues or paper towels. They
will scratch the lenses.
|
| |
- Avoid petroleum-based cleaner, solvents,
etc, as they may soften or distort plastic or polycarbonate lenses.
|
| |
- If you have reflection-free lenses,
avoid high heat and humidity. Also, avoid fabric softener on the
cloth you wipe the lenses with.
|
| |
- Do not leave your eyeglasses exposed
to sunlight in your car, as the internal heat may cause the frame
to soften and the lenses to craze.
|
| |
- Remove your eyeglasses and cover them
with a towel before using hairspray as it can cause spotting on
reflection-free lenses.
|
| |
- To prevent scratches, do not place
your glasses lens side down.
|
| |
- Have your eyeglasses adjusted regularly.
|
| |
- No matter how careful your are, your
eyeglasses can become misaligned.
