Dr Dave Grimes graduated from the University of Waterloo School of Optometry in 1993.  In 2003, he received certification for the use of topical therapeutics from the Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago. 

He is a member of the Children’s Low Vision Project team which travels throughout the province providing services for visually-impaired school-aged children. 

He has travelled to Myanmar with Medical Ministries International providing eye examinations to those without access to services and has a desire to return for further projects.

He grew up in Grand Falls, Newfoundland and married Stacey in 1992.  They have two amazing children.  He is involved in coaching basketball and with his church community.
